Research and Discovery
The initial research phase involved workshops and meetings with clients to differentiate Mujual from its competitors and understand how to engage the target audience effectively. We focused on a fundamental shift in user experience—highlighting self-discovery and personal connection over potential matches. Lora, the AI matchmaker, facilitates interactions with users, learns about them, and facilitates unique and tailored connections without swiping left or right.
Many users seek to meet Jewish partners, yet existing apps often lack an easy way to filter matches based on religious background. We aimed to address this by using AI to offer more meaningful connections. Additionally, the user experience was redefined to focus on self-expression and genuine connections, with Lora acting as a guide.
From logo creation to the UI concept, the design journey was a blend of inspiration from dating, motivation, technology, and AI. The chosen logo, embodying love, technology, and human connection, anchored the entire concept around users.This synergy extended to the visual language, seamlessly weaving gradients, shadows, and 3D elements. This abstract approach stirred emotions and mirrored user experiences. Stemming from the logo's illustrative style, the dynamic color palette achieved a balance between emotion and technology. The bold font choice amplified clarity and guidance, aligning perfectly with the app's user-centric philosophy.

Conclusion
We started from profound research to deeply understand the audiences' needs and challenges - user, clients and the organization itself. We had interviewed users and Morning employees, looked through freelancer communities on social media, and visited the Morning HQ regularly to study their activity and environment. We then mapped out the website's content and the entirety of Morning's assets - articles, blogs, their podcast, and collaborated with their content managers so we can make content as accessible as possible.
